The inspection work of the equipment is an important measure to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment. The inspection is a time-sensitive work, requiring the duty officer to periodically inspect every inspection point. However, due to manual inspections, it is difficult to effectively supervise on-duty patrol personnel. As a result, various types of accidents often occur due to inadequate inspection reports and untimely failures. In addition, paper inspections cannot pass real-time inspection data. The faults are not handled in a timely manner, affecting the safe and effective operation of various types of equipment.

The use of RFID technology and wireless LAN for equipment and pipeline inspection, usually used in power, manufacturing equipment inspection, petrochemical pipeline inspection. In the factory area, a seamless wireless network is covered along the inspection route, and an RIFD tag is installed at each inspection monitoring point. The tag records the basic information of the inspection monitoring point. The patrol staff first reads the contents of the tag with the handset after each inspection point, checks the equipment and pipes, and transmits the inspection information to the management office through the wireless network. A patrol management system is set up in the background to realize the inspection of the patrol personnel's work quality through the system, improve the management level of the patrol equipment, increase the patrol efficiency, and provide insight into the patrol inspection work.

The inspection of oil refinery equipment and pipelines refers to the periodical inspections and inspections of equipment and pipelines by the equipment security inspection department to ensure the safety of oil transportation and refining. For a long time, the patrol work of the refinery has been using the “one-note system” work method. Inspectors inspect equipment and pipelines in accordance with the inspection route, and then select operational conditions on the form and return to the management office for statistical inspection. Due to factors such as poor dedication of the patrol staff and weather conditions, sometimes the patrol personnel are lazy and falsely report patrols, making the quality of safety patrols greatly compromised.

Application of RFID technology in equipment inspection

The equipment inspection system based on RFID technology mainly includes inspection dispatch management, inspection line management, inspection information download management, inspection information upload management, inspection information query management, and inspection information report management. The hardware equipment is mainly composed of RFID handheld terminals, RFID electronic tags, and wireless access points. In the design of this system, it closely focuses on the core requirements of the industry and the key business processes of inspection operations, and closely combines the applicability of RFID technology to practical needs, such as the use of ultra-high frequency passive electronic for the selection of electronic tags. The corresponding reading distance of the tag is also larger, so that the electronic tag information can be accurately detected.

Inspection business operation process:

The RFID tags are installed at the existing inspection inspection sites. The tags are initialized to record the basic information of the inspection inspection sites, such as the inspection number and inspection location.

Establish a patrol management information system, manage the various businesses through the system, and practice the operations, management, statistics, and analysis of various patrol operations on the system;

When there is an inspection plan, the plan will be entered into the system, such as inspection personnel, inspection route, departure time, requirements, etc., and then the inspection task will be sent to the RFID handheld reader, and then the inspection personnel will leave;
